Four of cups divination11/29/2023 ![]() ![]() The Upright Knight of Cups holds a golden chalice at their heart. tarot tarot meanings four of cups four of cups reversed four of cups tarot tarot witch tarot reading witchblr It’s those connections and experiences that help us grow, and that color our inner world the next time we need to retreat. Still, don’t let your focus cut you off from the outside world completely. With this card, it’s much more tempting to stay engrossed in the inner world than accept what they’re offering. Think of the outstretched hand as friends offering fun, social, exciting activities and opportunities. It’s also a great reminder for me to stock up on granola bars, apple sauce packets, and Gatorade in my bedroom to keep myself fed & hydrated when it’s too hard to get into the kitchen <3 tarot reading tarot interpretation four of cups three card reading divination seasonal affective disorder maybe? i have a light lamp and it does help but it might also just be the rhythm of my brain chemicals idkf my big brain issue is ocd which gives me agoraphobic episodes sometimes and my depression is much more Like That but it's also functionally a depressive episode so idk if the distinction matters this isn't important but my lovely therapist MOVED during covid & i haven't liked another therapist over zoom so i've been without mental healthcare for almost a year! my ocd is pretty well controlled most of the time but we never focused on the possible sad possble something else so i am worried a lil bit probably should also 'stock up' on getting a new therapist over the next couple weeks lol i have these eps basically every sept and every feb and they can be 3-8 weeks and varying severity anyway that's enough of that lol tarot witch tarot deep dive I can often feel the limits of my mental health as a personal failing, instead of what they are: health needs! The reversed Four of Cups in this position is a reminder that this is coming, it’s outside of my control, and it’s not necessarily negative. In this reading in particular, the other two cards are all about making moves, so this reminder that this is a rough time of year for me is greatly appreciated. It feels like a friend checking in on you. I think it’s so interesting when readings do this - when the cards give you something really personal. So, this card is a reminder to take care of myself, prepare to step back for a time, and allow myself space & grace. Unfortunately for me, the changing light (and maybe just awareness of the passage of time? idk) in September is usually a trigger for a depressive episode. I did this reading for Lughnasadh, as a guide for this next few weeks until Mabon at the end of September. This is often a little outside your control. The card in this position is what general elements or theme will shape the next few weeks. In the below Inner Garden 3-card reading, the reversed Four of Cups is in the #3 position - what takes root. Sometimes, we all need to take a break from the outside world. Reversed, the cups are the treasures that can be gained by looking inward. But when the card is reversed, the cups aren’t sitting neglected on the ground anymore - the cups are gathered at the top of the card, connected to the figure by the green field. Upright, the figure in the card is looking out into the distance, ignoring the cups before them. The reversed Four of Cups is focusing on their inner world. Reversed, the ignored cups float at the top of the card. In the Morgan Greer deck, the figure is so immobile that vines have grown around them and the ignored cups at their feet. They don’t notice the three full cups on the ground before them, nor the figure offering a fourth. In the Four of Cups, the figure sits in greenery.
